How do I install netPHD QuickStart Software?

  • You can download our Set-up software directly from our website. You will be directed step-by-step through the installation process. If you prefer, we can send you a FREE Set-Up CD. Just place the CD in your CD Drive and follow the easy on-screen instructions. You can either download our Software or request a Set-Up CD HERE!

How do I switch to netPHD from my current provider?

  • New clients must contact their current Internet Service Provider with instructions and a date to discontinue their account. You are then free to start your Surf Speedy Internet Access. We strongly suggest you confirm that your netPHD account has been activated before you cancel your current Internet provider.

How do I Add an email address?

  • Your netPHD Account comes with 5 email addresses. To add an email address or change your password, you will need to sign in to your Custom Control Panel. Visit our account management page Here!

I want to use an email client to access my email. What are my POP3 Settings?

  • If you choose to use email client software like Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, our Quickstart Set-up Software will automatically configure your default email client with the new settings.
    The POP setting is: mail.netPHD.net
    The POP Login is: username@netPHD.net
    The SMTP setting is: smtp.netPHD.net

How do I check my web based email?

  • To check your Web Based email, you will need to sign in to your Custom Control Panel with your user name and password. Just follow the easy on-screen directions after you have signed in. You can easily SIGN IN HERE!

How am I billed?

  • When you sign up for netPHD Internet Access, you will be asked for your credit card information. We gladly accept VISA, MasterCard, and the American Express Card. Every month on the 20th, your credit card will be charged. We will then send you a monthly statement by email for your records.
     

Can I still use AOL Instant Messenger?

  • Yes, you can use all of the most popular Instant Messenger applications like AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Instant Messenger and more with your netPHD Service.
     

How do I update my credit card information?

  • Your netPHD Control Panel will let you make changes to the billing information for your account. You can easily change your credit card information, billing address and much more. Visit our account management page Here!

What is the difference between Web based email and POP3 Email?

  • Web Based email offers you the convenience of checking your email from any computer connected to the Internet. Simply go to here and sign in. POP3 email is email that is managed by a program that resides on your computer. Some of the more common POP3 clients are Microsoft Outlook™, Microsoft Outlook Express™ and Eudora.™

Can I monitor my monthly hours on-line?

  • Yes, by clicking here you can easily monitor your monthly Internet usage. Keep in mind that the first 150 hours are included with your account. This is generally more than sufficient time for the vast majority of clients. You will be billed for $1.30 per hour for every hour over the 150 hour limit.
